伊庭義明三尉を隊長とする、近代武器で武装した21名の陸上自衛隊員は、演習に参加するための移動時に突然、補給地ごと戦国時代にタイムスリップしてしまった。戸惑っている彼らに長尾平三景虎が家来と共に会いに来た。景虎は伊庭と初めて会った瞬間「同族じゃ」と気に入り、異なる服装・武器に惹かれ、仲間にしたいと考える。タイムスリップした現実を安易に受け入れられなかった伊庭と自衛隊員たち。しかし景虎らに遭遇し、景虎と敵対する戦国大名のゲリラ軍に襲撃され仲間が死亡。そして景虎の戦を目の当たりにしたことで、戦国時代に来てしまったことを否応なしに受け入れていく。
