Yoshiyuki Momose

Yoshiyuki Momose (百瀬 義行, Momose Yoshiyuki, born in 1953 in Tokyo, Japan) is a Japanese animator, animation director, and director. He was a regular collaborator of Hayao Miyazaki and the late Isao Takahata at Studio Ghibli.
He formed his own studio in 2005, Studio Kajino. Kajino was subcontracted by Ghibli to produce several music videos for Yasutaka Nakata, part of the musical duo Capsule and other commercial shorts. He was also the animation director and character designer for the Ni no Kuni series. In July 2011, he released Yoshiyuki Momose Studio Ghibli Works (百瀬義行 スタジオジブリワークス), published by Ichijinsha.
He currently works at Studio Ponoc, based in Tokyo, Japan. The company was founded by former Studio Ghibli lead film producer Yoshiaki Nishimura in April 2015. Momose directed a short for the Tokyo Olympic Games 2020 inspired by Olympic values.

The annual arrival of the message leaf causes concern – something is undeniably wrong. Its usually vibrant and lasting colours quickly fade, and it suddenly withers and crumbles. Five envoys, from five diverse lands, are dispatched to find out what has happened. The envoys travel to a distant land, quietly guided by tiny spirits. 昭和20年6月9日、神戸は大空襲に見舞われ、清太は心臓の悪い母を先に防空壕へ避難させ、幼い妹節子を連れて後を追う。空襲の後、避難所である学校に着いた清太だったが、そこには、全身にやけどを負い瀕死の母の姿があった。母はそのまま息を引き取り、清太は節子と共に西宮にある叔母の家に間借りするが、次第に清太たちを厄介者扱いするようになる。嫌味を言われ、ご飯も満足に食べさせてもらえない生活に耐え切れなくなった清太は、家出を決意し、節子と２人で池のほとりの横穴での生活を始める。

Doc Smith's groundbreaking science fiction serial "Grey Lensman" from the 1930s-1950s, Kimball Kinnison, a young man from the agricultural planet Mquie and his Valerian companion, Buscirk find a dying man with a legendary crystal lens embedded in his hand. As the man was dying, he mysteriously passed on the Lens to Kim. With more companions to come by, Kim must find out the purpose of the Lens before the Boskone dynasty does.

Chitchi's problems are compounded when she falls hopelessly in love with one of the most popular boys in her school, the 6-foot-tall Murakami Satoshi (Sally to his friends). Chitchi succeeds in becoming Sally's friend - he thinks of her as a kind of mascot - but she aspires to be something more. She follows him to his clubs, arranges similar vacations, and pursues her quest from the opening of school in the spring to spring of the following year. She experiences the joys and agonies of first love, while all too keenly aware that she is stuck, despite Tonko's encouragement and help, in Sally's "friend zone."
