南海に浮かぶ常夏の島・みかづき島にある月の国。世界的な富豪でもあるその国の王子ミチルは、息子ヒカルとともに諸国漫遊の旅に出ていた。今回ナルトたちに与えられた任務は、王子親子を無事にみかづき島まで送り届けること。サーカス団を丸ごと買ってしまうような王子の桁外れの金持ちぶりに振り回されるナルトたちだが、ようやくみかづき島にたどり着いてみると、そこでは大臣の裏切りによりクーデターが勃発していた。
