Samantha Cook

Oregon, a small town near the sea, around 1870. Henry, a grieving man who aspires to preach as a way to overcome his unfortunate past, reunites with eccentric pioneer Samuel Alabaster, who has hired him to officiate at his marriage to the precious Penelope. 祖母エレンが亡くなったグラハム家。過去のある出来事により、母に対して愛憎交じりの感情を持ってた娘のアニーも、夫、2人の子どもたちとともに淡々と葬儀を執り行った。祖母が亡くなった喪失感を乗り越えようとするグラハム家に奇妙な出来事が頻発。最悪な事態に陥った一家は修復不能なまでに崩壊してしまうが、亡くなったエレンの遺品が収められた箱に「私を憎まないで」と書かれたメモが挟まれていた。
