When Thanatos meets a lonely birdwatcher, a special friendship ensues. But he knows in advance that a farewell will be inevitable.

After 30 years Kirk is still living in the same little village with his dominant mother Ineke. His father disappeared when Kirk was just a young boy. Their sluggish life is brutally disrupted when their new eupeptic neighbor Marcus awakes Kirk and deteriorates the relationship between mother and son. Ineke doesn’t trust the intruder and begins an investigation and discovers some dark secrets.

Story with a macabre twist about a peculiar boy, who gathers cats from the street and returns them - for a reward - to the rightful owner. One day, he comes across a poster that reports the missing of a beautiful girl. His observations, distorted by loneliness, lead him to believe he knows where she is, but during his rescue operation he loses sight of the dangers of the real world.
