The Narrator
Dixie (Paul Duckworth) a fervent, bitter blue has been bin-bagged and arrives at the home of his crazy Evertonian sister, Gwladys (Lindzi Germain). Unbeknown to the blues, the rabid reds next door headed by Kenny (Andrew Schofield) and Anne (Lynn Francis) are planning a European Cup celebration garden party. On finding out, Dixie is hell-bent on ruining the occasion.

Ex Boxer Tom is on the ropes, when a chance encounter at the gym leads to the offer of work as a doorman at a run down nightclub. The volatile head doorman Paul, is a battle hardened veteran from the old school. Recognising Tom for the fighter that he once was, Paul takes him under his wing, and guides him through the ins and outs of life as a club land "peacekeeper."

A film adaptation of the 1606 satirical tragedy by Thomas Middleton, relocated to a post-apocalyptic Liverpool. Christopher Eccleston plays the revenge-obsessed Vindice, who has sworn to kill the evil Duke (Derek Jacobi) who murdered his one true love.

Thug in Pub
Jimmy Grimble is a shy Manchester school boy. At school he is constantly being bullied by the other kids, and at home he has to face his mother's new boyfriend. However, through football, and some special boots, he manages to gain the confidence to succeed and leads his school football team towards the final of the local schools cup.
"Sordid Lives" is about a family in a small Texas town preparing for the funeral of the mother. Among the characters are the grandson trying to find his identity in West Hollywood, the son who has spent the past twenty-three years dressed as Tammy Wynette, the sister and her best friend (who live in delightfully kitschy homes), and the two daughters (one strait-laced and one quite a bit of a loser).
Heavy Metal Landlord
When Martin Luxford (Hugo Speer) leaves jail, he decides to form a swing band, having been taught to play the saxophone by his cellmate Jack. Returning to his native Liverpool, Martin pulls together a backing band of misfits and loners, and recruits his ex-girlfriend Joan (Lisa Stansfield) as a singer. Things are complicated somewhat by the fact that Joan is now married to the policeman who arrested Martin, and when the band's first gig - at a heavy metal pub - goes badly, it seems as though the road to musical success may be a rocky one.

DCコミックスの誇るスーパー・ヒーローを巨費を投じて映画化した大作。ゴッサム・シティの闇に跳梁し悪を粉砕するバットマンと犯罪組織の新ボス・ジョーカーとの戦い。単純明解な娯楽編にはせずにひねった作品を目指していたのか、バットマンの誕生の秘密やジョーカーの設定などかなり暗めで、マニアックな仕上がりになっている。ニコルソン怪演。
Uncle Ted
The second film in Terence Davies's autobiographical series (along with "Trilogy" and "The Long Day Closes") is an impressionistic view of a working-class family in 1940s and 1950s Liverpool, based on Davies's own family. Through a series of exquisite tableaux Davies creates a deeply affecting photo album of a troubled family wrestling with the complexity of love.
Liverpool Barman
Two guys meet, one American, a deserter from the US army, one Brit, and they are drawn together by their mutual love of Soul music. Neither being gainfully employed they decide to start a mobile disco service for fellow soul lovers, which leads them to buy an ice cream van, and the adventure begins. Before long they find themselves on the run from the bad guys and the police.
Taxi Driver
