After a long-winded and corrupt bureaucratic process, the LSF's final verdict for the film was "Rejected with (Notes for) Revisions". The filmmakers requested a hearing with the LSF committee, which was eventually unsuccessful in producing a clearer understanding of the LSF's reasons for rejection.

Their mother is oblivious, perpetually talking to people on her mobile phone and the space the family occupies grows narrower and narrower.
