マペットの少年ウォルターは、地方で人間の兄ゲイリーと暮らしている。大人になったゲイリーは恋人メアリーと旅行でLAに行くことになり、同行することになったウォルターは大ファンであるTV番組「マペット・ショー」のスタジオを見られると大興奮。しかしスタジオはもう使われていなくて荒れ果て、石油王の陰謀で解体の危機に直面していた。ウォルターたちはスタジオを守ろうと、引退したマペットのカーミットを訪ねる。

The lives of three young Middle Eastern women intertwine as they struggle to defy tradition and create their own realities. From an arranged marriage and a lesbian love affair to an abusive family situation, the film delicately tackles some of the issues Middle Eastern women are confronted with today.

Izzy is raising her younger brother, Kevin, by herself. Their parents are deceased and her older brother, Rusty, is away in the Marines. When Izzy learns that her little brother is being bullied at school, she does what any unstable, psychopathic, homicidal sister would do.
