Random street attacks have been occurring in a local industrial city. No similarities among the victims, no clues for a motive or the culprit's next move except for sightings of a large figure in a raincoat. On her way home, Nami encounters an attack in progess. A gruesome snuff video is found in a sex booth. It shows a young woman who is tortured, killed, and dismembered by an unknown sadist. The deadly blade is hidden inside the camera itself. Hisayasu Sato's regular Kiyomi Ito begins to investigate the videotape.

Gore and Z-Grade mayhem ensue.

Pig Chicken Suicide is a veritable assault on the senses, mixing violent images of animal slaughter, racial strife, and surrealism to tell the story of two Koreans living in Japan whose love is destroyed due to overwhelming racial discrimination. In explicit abattoir photos and much symbolism, Matsui tells about the struggles of ethnic Koreans in Japan. A butcher's love affair and his relationship with the animals he kills frame the story.

When the '70s ended the anger of young people rose, differences in social values occurred between adults and young people, and the word "generation" began to be widespread among the young people.,The film depicts a group of young men and women who are forced to flee their homes after committing a murder. The screenplay is written by Wataru Hino (a pseudonym of Atsushi Yamatoya), wherein he asks whether these young people are sick or sensible.

Matsui's debut film, "Rusty Empty Can" (1979), was photographed by Sogo Ishii; nonetheless the film turned out to be a serious and emotionally painful one unlike Ishii's speedy roller-coaster movies. The film which depicts a homosexual relationship was successful at the many film festival held in Japan, including selection at the 1979 Pia Film Festival. "Rusty Empty Can" is still shown at theatres today as it has become the pioneer of cult movies with devoted fans and approval from Nagisa Oshima and Shuji Terayama.
