Set during the 10th anniversary of Hong Kong's reunification with China, FOG tells the story of Wai, who suffers from a rare amnesia that wipes his memory entirely clean, as he attempts to restart his life and embarks on a journey of self-discovery and redemption.

Correction Officer Kwok Kam Hung is a gambling addict and owes a large sum of money, so he constantly makes money through the inmates. The department finds out and fires him. Unemployed, Hung seeks other means to survive and recalls a trick formula that will daze the victim and take the victim's money. He first tries and succeeds in dazing a prostitute and taking her money. Hung then decides to inject the daze drug into drinks in convenient stores.

The young Chor Lau-heung learns martial arts from Tuk-ku Kau-pai and has attained a high level of skill. His teacher sends him to Shaolin Monastery to attend a contest that is held once every ten years. On the journey, Chor meets Wu Tit-fa and Chung-yuen Yat-dim-hung. When Chor arrives at Shaolin, he fights with a Shaolin student called Mo-fa but neither of them is able to defeat each other. They decide to have a match again on another day.
