Three days before a cultural festival, reliable heroine Hikari Sasaki suddenly quits the club. Left behind in the theater club are four sensitive girls, Saya Honjo, Aoi Fujisaki, Kurumi Nakahara and Mika Shinoda. The girls have relied on Hikari for such a long time, and are at a loss, with none of them interested in being the next heroine. Nobody has any desire to be a candidate, but without a leader for the theater club the manager Saya has the idea of having a secret ballot. But the result of the vote produces a shocking development.

京都。冴えない毎日を過ごす大学生の青年“先輩”は、後輩の“黒髪の乙女”に想いを寄せるが、生来の奥手で気持ちを直接伝えることなどできず、「なるべく彼女の目にとまる作戦」＝ナカメ作戦なる回りくどい計画でむなしく彼女の気を惹こうとしていた。そんな彼の気も知らず、天真爛漫な“乙女”は、好奇心の向くまま夜の先斗町を歩き回っては珍妙な人や事件に遭遇し、彼女を追う先輩もまた、さまざまな騒動に巻き込まれていく。

コンビ結成10年目を迎える売れない漫才コンビでボケとネタ作りを担当する飛夫は、相方から解散を告げられる。ヤケ酒を飲みトラブルに巻き込まれ留置場に入った彼は、そこで不良の龍平に出会う。龍平と少しずつ会話する中で、彼のツッコミの才能に気付いた飛夫がコンビ結成を申し込むと、意外にも龍平は承諾する。

主人公・根岸崇一はポップでオシャレな音楽を好む青年。大学進学に伴って上京してきた彼はポップミュージシャンとしてデビューするという夢を叶えるため、大学卒業後にレコード会社と契約する。 ところが事務所から根岸が演らされることになったのは、彼の趣旨とは正反対のデスメタルであった。程なくして根岸は悪魔系デスメタル・バンド「デトロイト・メタル・シティ（通称DMC）」のギター・ボーカル「ヨハネ・クラウザーII世」に仕立て上げられ、デビューする事になってしまう。 メタルは嫌いな根岸だったが、いざステージに立ってみると秘められたメタルの才能を発揮し、瞬く間にバンドは大ブレイク。根岸自身の思いに反してクラウザーはカリスマと化し、DMCは一躍世間の注目を集める人気バンドとなる。

ヒカリのポケモンコンテスト挑戦のため、断崖の町・アラモスタウンを訪れたサトシたち。しかし町では、100年前の天才建築家・ゴーディにより設計された庭園が何者かに荒らされる事件が起きるなど、町全体で異変が続いていた。 犯人として疑われるポケモン・"ダークライ"。その頃、町の象徴である「時空の塔」で町の異変を調査していたトニオは、ゴーディの日記に記された予言を読み、「神」と呼ばれしポケモン・"ディアルガ"と"パルキア"にまつわる悪夢が町に近づいていることに気づく。

When a good student named Kamiyama gets placed in a high school filled with disobedient kids, he steps up to the plate and takes a position of leadership. Urging the young slackers and rebels to clean up their act, Kamiyama is in store for a lot of resistance.
