Four circus freaks with superpowers find themselves trapped in Nazi-occupied Rome after their owner and father figure goes missing in the aftermath of the 1943 surrender of Italy to the Allies.

It all begins with a childhood memory: that day when the father of the future filmmaker Sebastiano d'Ayala Valva forces him to listen to certain music that initially terrifies him; a distant echo from the past that leads him to follow the trail of his mysterious ancestor, the Italian composer Giacinto Scelsi (1905-1988), who claimed that his music was directly inspired by the gods.

Davide is different from the other teenagers. Something makes him look like a girl. Davide is fourteen when he runs away from home. Thanks to the inventiveness of a veterinarian, Otto survived. Instead of a beak, a copper prosthesis was implanted in its place. The gander was celebrated by all the animals in the farm as an example of strength and courage, with a new superhero name: Copperbeak. But what would happen if we interviewed the fox and the other animals to have their point of view? It would turn out that Otto is not really a hero after all. But there is always time to prove your courage and become one.
