森の奥にある父親の家にやって来たメアリーは、偶然森の王国に住む小さな女王に出会い、自分までもが小さくなってしまう。自然豊かな王国を守るには、王位継承の日にある花のつぼみを開花させなければならない。ところが、森を滅ぼそうとする悪の勢力がそれを阻止しようとしていた。メアリーはひょんなことから森の運命を託される。
