It is the second work of the Oita trilogy of Obayashi . Following " Nigori Snow ", Ise Masazo draws a song written by composers and songwriter "Farewell of 22 years old " as a motif and draws a story of love that spans two generations of mother and daughter.

Life and love stories of stunt men and women.

Two young men are recruited into the Japanese air force just before outbreak of WW2 by the test pilot of Japans new super fighter - the Zero. The movie is told in reverse from the point of one of the young men who don't qualify for the pilot training and instead joins the ground crew. It chronicles the entire history of the famous fighter from the first prototype test flights all through the war.

One day, a lone horseman rides into town with a wounded man strapped behind him. Joe then meets Saburo, while fishing, and his lovely sister, who seem to sense the real man beneath the rough appearance and take him into their home. Maki, a porter at the Sakura Hotel, finds a body in Room No. 2 and picks up a piece of paper on which is written "one-third of the key", also the part of a key. From a newspaper he learns that the dead man is an official who has been detained as a suspect in a bribery case involving 150,000,000 yen and that another suspect named Matsunaga is still in custody. Maki realizes that if he can obtain the other two-thirds of the key, he will be a multi-millionaire.

幕末の混沌とした時代、にぎわいを見せていた品川宿の遊郭旅籠の相模屋にひとりの町人・佐平次が訪れる。女郎のおそめを気に入り豪遊するが、実は佐平次は一文無しだった。その翌朝、佐平次は金がないことを若い衆に打ち明けるが、口八丁でその場に居座ってしまう。そして金を返済するためと相模屋で番頭まがいの仕事を始めた佐平次は、下働きから女郎衆、遊郭に出入りする人々のトラブルを持ち前の度胸と機転で解決してみせ、さらにお礼の金をしっかりためこんでいた。また、相模屋に逗留し攘夷の計画を練る長州藩士の高杉晋作、久坂玄瑞らとも交友を深め、いつしか佐平次は遊郭内で一目置かれる存在になっていく。

Eikichi Yamashiro, who is a former contender for the boxing title, works as a manager at a Club Champion owned by his fiancé Natsuko’s father. In eighth century China, the Emperor is grieving over the death of his wife. The Yang family wants to provide the Emperor with a consort so that they may consolidate their influence over the court. General An Lushan finds a distant relative working in their kitchen whom they groom to present to the Emperor. The Emperor falls in love with her and she becomes the Princess Yang Kwei-fei. The Yangs are then appointed important ministers, though An Lushan is not given the court position he covets. The ministers misuse their power so much that there is a popular revolt against the Yangs, fueled by An Lushan.

A Girl isn't Allowed to Love is a 1955 Japanese film directed by Teinosuke Kinugasa.

In 17th century Kyoto, Osan is married to Ishun, a wealthy miserly scroll-maker. When Osan is falsely accused of having an affair with the best worker, Mohei, the pair flee the city and declare their love for each other. Ishun orders his men to find them, and separate them to avoid public humiliation.
