Miwako Wagatsuma

一流ホテル勤めと周囲に偽りラブホテルの店長をしている徹は、ミュージシャンを夢見る同居中の恋人・沙耶との関係が倦怠期になりかけていた。歌舞伎町にあるラブホテルに出勤し多忙な1日が始まるが、ホテルでは家出少女と来店した風俗スカウトマン、時効を間近に控え男と潜伏生活を送るホテルの清掃人など、年齢も職業もさまざまな男女の人生が交錯する。

Kaede is fed up with routine chores at her workplace and the relationship with her boyfriend. Her mood brightens when Takuya, with whom she and her brother Ryuta were befriended in childhood, returns to her home town. After reuniting, the friends spend a great time together. But when Ryuta’s girlfriend Yuki gets pregnant, confessions are made that change their relationship.

Since they were both five, Ryosuke has been stalked by Momoko - the ugliest girl in the village. Her love for Ryosuke is so boundless that she has her face surgically altered to suit his taste - but still he wants nothing to do with her. Ryosuke goes in for fleeting romance - for example, with the girlfriend of a gangster boss. But when he finds out about their affair, he has Ryosuke's little finger hacked off. Magically, the finger falls into Momoko's hands, and she uses it to clone Ryosuke, so she can finally have him (or almost him) for herself. And this is just the first five minutes of Lisa Takeba's short-but-powerful feature debut. Just like in her previous short films, the director - who cut her teeth in the advertising world and as the writer of a video game - throws a lot of genres and techniques into the mix: from science fiction to gangster films, from hospital eroticism to animation. 時代は昭和後期（主人公の生年からの計算や劇中のカレンダーから1986年と思われる）。19歳の北町貫多は、日雇い労働で生計を立てている。貫多が幼少の折、彼の父親が性犯罪を犯したことで家庭は崩壊した。両親の離婚、数度の転校を繰り返すなかで鬱々とした青春時代を過ごす彼は将来への希望を失った。やがて中学校を卒業した彼は、母親からむしり取った金を手に家を飛び出し、港湾での荷役労働に従事することで一人暮らしを始める。日当の5500円は即座に酒代とソープランド代に消えていく。将来のために貯金するでもなく、月の家賃のため金を取り置くわけでもなく、部屋の追い立てを食らうことも一度や二度ではない。こうして貫多は、義務教育後の4年間を無為に過ごしていたのだった。

High school student Tomoyuki (Hoshi Ishida), his father (Kazuhiro Sano), and Yuki (Miwako Wagatsuma), a girl that Tomyuki likes, gather together as a family and performs road shows out of their truck. A sense of loss, farewells, and relations are all brought out.

Misaki, living a lonely life in Tokyo for college; decides to go back home to Fukushima for a month on her spring break. But by coming home without a notice, her mother would not welcome her nor let her in the house. She wanders around trying to find a friend to let her stay and fails miserably but ends up finding a small hotel called "Komorebi" looking for a short time live-in worker. There, she starts living with a kind and trustworthy woman, Kinuyo, and a hurt and depressed owner, Goro. A girl with a broken up family and a man with a dark past; their paths in life cross over as they start to change slowly...

The Story of the 1 Litre of Tears special takes place after the events in the main drama. The Special takes the view of Asou Haruto who is remembering life the way it used to be before the events of the last episode of the series.

Some high school girls receive an mail in they are told about a girl who was raped, became pregnant, and murdered by a group of men. Mail asks them to resend the mail to 9 other people in next 12 hours or they will be killed and treated as one of the wrongdoers to the murdered girl, some girls delete the mail and thus have to face gruesome truth
