Unexpectedly for many, on the side of Gorokhov is the master Radislav Yershov and Komsomol activist Nadya, in love with Slava. The intrigues unfolding in the school are changing the habitual life of an educational institution, which is becoming the scene of a struggle between two opposing ideologies.

After graduating from the tenth year, Viktor Chernyshyov, now a city dweller, did not bother to continue his education and went to the plant as a turner. He considered it quite normal that the guys enthusiastically listened to the stories of his peer Kolya, a lounger who boasted of victories over women, and participated in his dubious amusements. Only one of them, Pyotr — a real worker, a doctor, tried to reason with Kolya and the others.

The end of the 1940s. Test pilot Aleksei Kolchin was commissioned for the first time to fly the first Soviet jet fighter. The tests are successful, but it is necessary to improve the aircraft. When performing a test flight, Kolchin dies, his last words are recorded on tape. Having studied them, Kolchin's friend Sergei Sharov makes a new attempt and completes the test of the aircraft.

In the summer of 1917, Vladimir Lenin leaves Petrograd and shelters in Razliv with fellow revolutionary Grigory Zinoviev. In the weeks that follow, Lenin writes his famous "Blue Notebook" advocating proletarian revolution.

The plot is based on the dramatic fate of the Red Army commander Aleksei Ivanovich Pavlov. Having been captured in January 1942 and being among the displaced persons, he didn't immediately decide to return to the USSR. Having rolled around the foreign country for 17 years, Aleksei nevertheless returned to his homeland. He goes to his brother in the south of the country to Sevastopol. Aleksei accidentally meets the doctor Anna Andreyevna, who was saved from death in besieged Leningrad. She travels by car from Moscow and also to the south, with her daughter Tanya; she suggests he join them. Aleksei tells about his life on the road.

Once at Borka, a big prankster and fidget, an adult friend appeared — the builder Ivan Degtyarev. Former sailor directed Borkin's energy in the right direction and made him his assistant. Soon a disaster happened in the Borkin family. His sister Liza will soon become a mother, and the father of the unborn child did not want to marry her and avoided meeting. Ivan tried to unite the young, but his attempts were unsuccessful. Having fallen in love with Lisa, he proposed to her — and soon the young happy family moved to a new home.
