Living a troubled home-life, a teenager becomes so stressed out with everything around her that she disappears into a series of fantasy-related books. While trying to escape her situation, she soon finds herself living in feudal Japan with a ninja master and his students who inform her that she's in a separate dimension from her regular life and are to help train together in the way of the ninja. When the training's complete, the girls learn that an evil warlord that left them orphans has intentions on killing them all as well, forcing the girls to team up together with all their training to defeat the madman and live in peace again.

One day Kenji who lives in an orphanage is sold to a yakuza and their friendship has to come to an end. 25 years later, Kanako is married to Atsushi who is an incompetent yakuza. They have 3 daughters. Kenji is a competent unbeatable yakuza. Atsushi, who sucks at everything, for the first time gets a dangerous mission to kill a thug who has attacked the office of his yakuza group. Kenji, who has advanced to the first lieutenant position, by mistake kills a dumb-ass son of the head of Tokyo Yakuza, which triggers a battle between Osaka and Tokyo Yakuzas. Then, Kenji meets Atsushi in 25 years.

After witnessing a gang murder, 12 year old Masashi asks his father what he'd do if he were killed by a Yakuza. "Exact vengeance," his father promptly replies. The next day, in an unfortunate turn of fate, Masashi's father is hospitalized with serious injuries, leaving Masashi to fend for himself in a bad and violent part of town. Luckily, he is taken in by a generous family who decides to help him. However, Masashi soon discovers that the father of this family, has a rather bad reputation.
