ボタン会社の経理課課長として、優しい妻やちょっぴり生意気だが可愛い一人娘にも恵まれ、念願だった一軒家も手に入れて、仕事や家庭に何の不満もない杉山正平。しかし、彼には満ち足りない何かがあった。正平は、ある日の会社の帰り、電車の中から見えるダンス教室の窓に、物憂げに佇むひとりの女性岸川舞を見つける。その美しさに目を奪われた彼は、数日後、そのダンス教室を訪れ社交ダンスを習い始めることに。 ほんの「スケベ心」から、家族にも会社にも内緒でダンスを習い始めた正平であったが、社交ダンスの魅力と会社の同僚青木富夫やプライドの高い高橋豊子、有閑マダム然としたたまこ先生といった個性的な仲間との交流を通じて純粋にダンスにのめり込んでいく。また、ある事件から最初は正平に心を閉ざしていた舞であったが、正平のダンスへのひたむきな姿を見るうちに、だんだんと心を開いてゆき、自らの心の傷も癒えることを覚える。一方、正平の妻は急に帰宅が遅くなったことに、浮気しているのではと心配し探偵を雇い正平の身辺調査を始める。 舞らの後押しで正平は豊子とペアを組んで東関東アマチュアスポーツダンス大会に出場することとなり、観衆の前で猛特訓の成果を披露することとなるのだが…。

A doctor develops a new scientific breakthrough in female psychotherapy with the discovery of the “Dream Ring,” a device that is inserted into a woman to record her thoughts and dreams. But, one dark and stormy night, the doctor and his assistant end up dead… hanging by ropes from the rafters of their lab. The lovely Reiko suffers from a condition known as “genophobia” (the fear of sexual intercourse), so she is admitted to the Tachibana Clinic for observation. Another group of doctors have the “Dream Ring” device and use it on Reiko to analyze her wildly erotic, and violent, dreams and nightmares. The clinic doctors have more sinister reasons to test this device on Reiko, however, and secretly put her under hypnosis so that the ring is activated at any time she hears the sound of a bell. Can she escape the evil doctors’ experiment and, even if she does, who is that strange person, dressed all in black, following her around?

Yoko is a housewife who's frustrated by her husband's lack of virility. She finds solace in erotic daydreams, the ministrations of a condom salesman and, eventually, the partner-swapping lifestyle.

ある地方都市。ベトナム救済募金が数人の覆面グループに強奪された。グループは犯行が終るや、何くわぬ顔で警察官に早変り、事件現場に急行、証拠隠滅を計った。数百万円の募金をものにした主犯の原田と加藤は、署長から、元上役警官で精神病院に入院していた中村が、脱走したことを知らされた。中村は、記憶喪失におち入り、変態行為をする。だが、原田らは、中村の病気は彼が組織から逃げ出すための芝居だと睨んでいた。ただちに付近一帯に非常線が張られたが、駅の公衆便所に女の絞殺死体が発見された。原田と加藤が駆けつけた時、丁度中村の乗った列車が発車したところだった。すぐ車に飛び乗った原田と加藤は猛スピードで列車を追跡した。彼らはいつしか、県境を越えていた。一方、車内で、中村は坐り合せた女学生の清水まり子の若々しい肉体に惹かれてゆき、ついに抱きしめた…。

カメラマン浩一、服飾デザイナー悦子、漫画家志望の昭、バーのホステス雪絵の四人が同棲生活を始めたのには深い理由があったわけではない。浩一は仕事がなく、悦子のところにころがり込み、半ばヒモのような暮しをしていた。売れない劇画を描いて、行くところのなくなった昭は、愛人の雪絵を連れて浩一たちのところに居候をきめこんでしまった。共同同棲生活が始まったのはそれからである。ある日、酔った雪絵を、浩一は衝動的に抱いてしまった。雪絵はそれを待っていたかのように彼を迎え入れた。昭は仕事をしない浩一に意見するかのように、売れない劇画を描き始めた。今度こそはと、描き上った作品を出版社に持ち込んだが、やはり不採用だった。失望にやけっぱちで飲んだ酒のいきおいで彼は悦子を抱いてしまった。そんな彼を悦子はやさしく、つつみこむのだった。その頃、浩一は行きつけの居酒屋の主人・久生からワイ写真のモデルを依頼されていた。相手は久生の女・雀である。浩一はヒモの自分から刹那的にも逃れるためにモデルを承知し、雀と幾多の交じわりをするのだった。ファインダーからそれをのぞく久生の目はぎらぎらと輝いていた。数日後雪絵は共同生活に嫌気がさして、部屋から出て行った。誰も止めようとはしなかったし、止める権利のないことも知っていた。そして、ワイ写真のモデルとなった浩一と、劇画を諦らめた昭と、二人のヒモを持った悦子の三人の奇妙な生活が、あてどもなくつづいていった……
