時は現代、ここは東京。街の犬たちに追われ突然幸太の家に紛れ込んだ１匹の野良犬は、ワンサと名づけられた。自由奔放に生きてきたワンサにとって鎖につながれた生活は、苦痛そのもの。ママや姉さんに怒られ、しつけに手を焼いた幸太はワンサを手放すが、別れた時ふたりはお互いが必要なことを知った。こうしてワンサは幸太の家族になり、街の犬たちとも仲良しになるのだった。
