世界最大のサーカスとして知られているリングリング・ブラザース=バーナム・アンド・ベイリー一座に、新しく空中曲芸の名人セバスティアンが加わることになった。この一座にはもともとホリーという空中曲芸のスターが人気を集めており、ホリーはやがて来るセバスティアンに中央のリングを譲ることを快く思わなかった。ホリーを愛している座長のブラッドにしても同じ気持ちなのだが、サーカスのためには仕方のないことだった。

When private tutor Thomas Arnold (Sir Cedric Hardwicke) becomes headmaster at Rugby, a boy's preparatory school in England, he puts into place a policy of strict punishment for unruliness and bulying.
