２０１２年、アメリカ。孤島の刑務所ターミナル・アイランドでは、囚人がマシンガン搭載の改造車を運転するカー・レースが開催されていた。このレースは“デス・レース”と呼ばれ、通算５勝を挙げた者には自由が与えられる一方、敗者には無惨な死が訪れるという過酷なものだった。レースの模様は中継で世界中に配信され、人気を博していた。ある日、妻殺しの濡れ衣を着せられ服役することになった元レーサーのエイムズは、冷酷な女刑務所長ヘネシーから、４勝達成後に死亡した覆面レーサー、フランケンシュタインに成りすましてレースに出場するように強要される。エイムズは勝てば自由の身となり、生き別れた娘に再会できることから、レースに挑む決意を固める。

Alicia is a poor girl starting college. Hadley, Julianne and Sydney are three well-off girls in a row house. Classes begin and Alicia is paired with Hadley to work on a sociology class project. At first rejected, Alicia is finally accepted into Hadley's clique where she is introduced to a world of privilege and dangerous thrills.
