ある日、CIAの元にロシアからの亡命者オルロフが出頭し女性諜報員のイヴリン・ソルトが尋問する。彼は、ソ連崩壊後もクレムリンの意向とは別にアメリカに潜入しているスパイたちは一斉に蜂起する時を待っており、その中の一人が近く行われるアメリカ副大統領の葬儀に出席するロシア大統領を暗殺する計画があると語った。更にそのスパイの名は「イヴリン・ソルト」であると告げる。

Epic film about WWII, a sequel to Utomlyonnye solntsem (1994). Evil Stalin is terrorizing people of Russia while the Nazis are advancing. Russian officer Kotov, who miraculously survived the death sentence in Stalin's Purge, is now fighting in the front-lines. His daughter, Nadia, who survived a rape attempt by Nazi soldiers, is now a nurse risking her own life to save others.
