Something sinister has come to the shores of Erin Island, unbeknownst to the quaint population of this sleepy fishing village resting somewhere off Ireland’s coast. First, some fishermen go missing. Then there is the rash of whale carcasses suddenly washing up on the beach. When the murders start, it’s up to two mismatched cops – an irresponsible alcoholic and his new partner, a by-the-book woman from the mainland – to protect the townsfolk from the giant, bloodsucking, tentacled aliens that prey upon them. 2050年。地球は環境汚染によって破壊され、人類の希望は新天地・火星に委ねられていた。だが大量の藻を送り込み、酸素を発生させるという火星地球化計画はデータ送信の不通という結果となった。原因を調査すべく科学者グループが火星に向かったが、太陽フレアの影響で宇宙船はダメージを受け、船長以外のクルーは着陸船で火星に降り立つことになってしまう。

英国のとある養鶏場。強欲な女主人ミセス・トゥイーディーの支配下、ここのメンドリたちは囚人のような毎日を送っていた。仕事といえば卵を産むことだけで、産めなくなったら食用チキンにされる運命。そんな人生に疑問を感じたジンジャーは、真のニワトリ人生を求め、今日も脱走計画を練っていた。そんなある日、空からオンドリが降ってきて養鶏場に墜落。それを見たジンジャーは「空を飛ぶ練習をすればいいんだ！」と閃く。
