Golden-hearted chorus girl Sally Casey is in love with wealthy Chet Randall and the feeling is mutual. Randall's snobbish father staunchly opposes the romance. Sally saves the day -- and her impending marriage -- when she reveals that Randall Sr. is himself carrying on with nightclub hostess "Alabam" Kenyon.
Bill is a rich miner but wants a wife. He advertises in an Eastern paper and receives a response from Nellie and Eleanor, but doesn't know it was sent as a joke. When he travels East to meet them, they have the cook pose as the writer of the response.
Mrs. Hanson reminds hubby that it is her birthday as he is about to leave for his office. On the way he stops in a jewelry store, and purchases for her a silver mesh bag, which he sends home by a messenger. When Mrs. Hanson receives the bag she cannot resist the temptation to show it to her next-door neighbor, Mrs. Jones, who at once becomes jealous.
