世界が熱狂した伝説のバンド＜クイーン＞。その光と影を数々の名曲とともに描く感動のミュージック・エンターテイメント。1970年、ロンドン。ライブ・ハウスに通っていた若者フレディ・マーキュリーは、ギタリストのブライアン・メイとドラマーのロジャー・テイラーのバンドのボーカルが脱退したと知り自らを売り込む。二人はフレディの歌声に心を奪われ、1年後、ベーシストのジョン・ディーコンが加入。バンド名は＜クイーン＞に決まり、4人はアルバムを制作し、シングル「キラー・クイーン」が大ヒット。個性的なメンバーの革新的な挑戦によって、その後もヒット曲が次々に生み出され、フレディは“史上最高のエンターテイナー”とまで称されるようになる。しかし、栄光の影で次第にフレディはメンバーと対立し孤独を深めていくのだった…。
