An account of the relationship of brotherhood between Cuba and Mexico led by an unprecedented interview with Eliseo Alberto Diego, Lichi that weaves together history, music, cinema, literature, and the character of both nations. Its also presents testimonies of diplomats, intellectuals, artists, athletes, educators and townspeople, who speak of this cultural fraternity.
Reina is an old and lonely widow whose only companion is a little black dog called Rey. When the dog disappears, Reina begins to question her own existence. Suddenly, her old patrons (who had left Cuba twenty years ago) return to Miami to stay for a week and convince her to go with them. After spending some time together, Reina discovers that her usual, lonelier, life is better than anything else and decides to stay in Cuba.
A series of images, music and sounds which transport through Mexico's history, without any narrative sequence. The film spins constantly round the question 'Where are the singers from?'
This is a montage of different images from the JFK, Martin Luther King and Bobby Kennedy triumphs and assassinations, all three events being observed by Lyndon Johnson as the dark figure who is plotting the anti-black rights movement.
