人里離れた雪深い山頂に住む、大きな体で心優しきイエティのミーゴ。おっちょこちょいで臆病な彼は、ある日偶然にも小さな足の伝説の生物“スモールフット(＝人間)”と出会う。しかし、誰も信じてくれないばかりか、嘘つきだと、村の掟オキテを守る最長老ストーンキーパーから村の追放を言い渡され、ミーゴは真実をつきとめるため伝説のスモールフットを探す冒険の旅に出る。
