The story of a married American couple who go to the San Sebastian Film Festival. They get caught up in the magic of the festival, the beauty and charm of Spain and the fantasy of movies. She has an affair with a brilliant French movie director, and he falls in love with a beautiful Spanish woman who lives there.

The cinematographic language and the language of Couture simultaneously follow an intimate story line, made of symbols, gestures and images. Moving between Rome and New York, the movie narrates the strength of a blood relationship between two women who have come to a day of reckoning with themselves, through a diachronic and introspective overview.

Distinguished Italian poet Antonia Pozzi (1912–1938) was among those women who were at odds with the times in which they lived.
