工場勤務の明日香（正木佐和）は結婚を控えて満ち足りた日々を送っていたが、ある日学生時代に水死してしまった同級生の青木（梅澤嘉朗）が河童となって彼女のもとに出現する。青木は何かと明日香にくっ付いて回るが、死神（守屋文雄）の出現で明日香の死期が近いことが判明。何とかしたいと願う青木は河童の里へ向かうのだが……
