東京・渋谷でトイレの清掃員として働く平山は、変化に乏しいながらも充実した日々を送っていた。同じような日々を繰り返すだけのように見えるものの、彼にとっては毎日が新鮮で小さな喜びに満ちている。古本の文庫を読むことと、フィルムカメラで木々を撮影するのが趣味の平山は、いつも小さなカメラを持ち歩いていた。

夫と死別してひとりで慎ましく暮らす、角谷ミチ（倍賞千恵子）は78歳。ある日、高齢を理由にホテルの客室清掃の仕事を突然解雇される。住む場所をも失いそうになった彼女は＜プラン75＞の申請を検討し始める。一方、市役所の＜プラン７５＞の申請窓口で働くヒロム、死を選んだお年寄りに“その日”が来る直前までサポートするコールセンタースタッフの瑶子（河合優実）は、このシステムの存在に強い疑問を抱いていく。また、フィリピンから単身来日した介護職のマリア（ステファニー・アリアン）は幼い娘の手術費用を稼ぐため、より高給の＜プラン75＞関連施設に転職。利用者の遺品処理など、複雑な思いを抱えて作業に勤しむ日々を送る。 果たして、＜プラン75＞に翻弄される人々が最後に見出した答えとは―――。

A humorous wedding story fueled by a rather no-good father and son, disguised as the old and new “good guys.” The father Nobuo, and his son Tamio, are unable to mature, unable to break the parent-child roles, have no sense of responsibility, and keep holding on to the past. The pair is overwhelmed by all the colorful characters around them telling them what to do. They go to strenuous and humorous efforts to make Tamio’s wedding an event to remember.

A doll maker and his daughter Erika live in a remote mountain villa. When some thugs break in and murder Erika and disfigure the old doll maker, he sets about getting his revenge. The Rinkaiji family, by all appearances, is a well-to-do Japanese family. The father, Nariyuki, works in an elite corporation, which gives his wife Yoshiko status in their suburban neighborhood. But the daughter Sugina, who herself has secretly stopped going to school because she is being bullied. One day, they discover that Nariyuki has quit his job. As Nariyuki decides to find a new job along with Sugina, Yoshiko, a firm believer in a life based on the company, soon finds her world falling apart.

毎夜悪夢にうなされる夢二。そんな中、夢二は駆け落ち相手の彦乃と落ち合うべく金沢近郊の湖畔へとやって来る。だが、彦乃は現われない。そして、静かな村に銃声が鳴り響く。旅館の女将は、鬼松という男が妻と妻を寝取った男・脇屋を殺し山へ逃げ込んだため、山狩りをしているのだと教える。一方湖では、殺された脇屋の妻・巴代が湖面にボートを浮かべ夫の死体が浮かび上がってくるのを待ち続けていた。その姿を目にした夢二は次第に巴代の虜になっていく。

Two brothers, Jinta and Wataru, are raised in a travelling circus. After an accident, Jinta decides to leave the circus and travels the countryside working as a con-man. After a run-in with a local gang of yakuza, he is invited to join their ranks, where he makes the mistake of falling for a boss's mistress. Wataru stays with the circus and works hard to regain its former glory

A member of the jieitai ("Self-Defense Force"; i.e. Japanese military) is on leave and finds a woman giving birth in a graveyard in the former Yoshiwara district. He takes her to an inn to gove birth, and stays on a few days as she recovers, but becomes fascinated with the strange people he meets there, particularly the owner, who visits a house in his courtyard every day to talk and give food to his mother. He says she is very sick and can't leave bed, but no one else has ever been inside or seen her.
