白金西公園付近で男性の遺体が見つかり、機捜235で街を巡回する縞長省一（中村梅雀）と高丸卓也（平岡祐太）が現場へ急行。免許証から被害者は田崎正也（大滝明利）だと判明する。左手にはコイン型のペンダントヘッドが握られていた。さらに「公園の東側は自分たちの管轄だ」と駆け付けた、第一機動捜査隊の倉沢巧（増田貴久）らが怪しげな車を発見。それは厚生労働省の事務次官公用車で、田崎はドライバーだった。だが同乗していた事務次官・重田由紀恵（若村麻由美）の姿はなく…。 高丸は手柄を横取りされたと悔しがるが、その後、別の捜査に当たっていると、倉沢らが乗る機捜136が管轄外である渋谷区の病院に入っていくのを目撃する。一体なぜ病院へ…？その頃、厚労省で聴取を受けていた秘書・真壁智彦（山崎樹範）らに、由紀恵を拉致したという人物から電話が！事態は誘拐事件へと発展していく。

A connection is found between a string of arsons and a 12 year old murder.

Inspector Totsugawa of the First Investigation Division goes to Tsuruoka in Yamagata to attend the wedding of the son of Inspector Mukai, his former colleague who now works for the Yamagata Prefectural Police. While sightseeing at Mt. Haguro after the ceremony, he notices a young woman drawing him in her sketchbook. She introduces herself as Yuka Shiraishi and says she came to draw the Dewa Sanzan. Signing the drawing of Totsugawa next to the five-story pagoda with her initial, a 'Y' in the corner, she gives it to him as a present. The next morning, the corpse of a young woman who has been stabbed is discovered in a forest in Tsuruoka. When Totsugawa, on his way back, hears that a sketchbook signed with a 'Y' was found at the scene, he follows Mukai there. However, the body is not Yuka, the woman Totsugawa had met, and while no items pointing to her identity are found, the sketchbook is the same one Yuka had the day before.

One day, Hikojiro goes to visit Sayo Kujo, an old lady who has been hospitalized. Sayo has been told that she has a year to live by assistant professor Natsuhiko Moriwaki, and insists on returning to the house she was born and raised in. It so happens that Hikojiro will be the one to treat her at home from now on. At the university hospital, Hikojiro runs into a familiar face - Hazuki, the daughter of Tetsuji Tonoyama, the man who taught Hikojiro how to make takoyaki. Hazuki is now a nurse at the university hospital and Hikojiro is surprised to see a strange poster on the hospital bulletin board that implies she's having an affair with Moriwaki. The hospital is currently preparing to elect a new chief surgeon, and the candidates are assistant professors Moriwaki and Shinsuke Noguchi, heads of the first and second surgical department. Both of their factions have been publishing defamatory statements about each other.

One day, Hikojiro receives an emergency call from inn proprietress Shino Ogawa to examine Tadahiko Mori, a guest complaining of stomach pain. Mori, who owns an art gallery in Tokyo, has come to Kyoto on a trip with his only daughter, high school student Nanami. Hikojiro gives him his business card, telling him to contact him if the pain comes back. However, the next day, Mori is found dead...!

今野敏の原作を上川隆也主演でドラマ化した『スクープ 遊軍記者・布施京一』を放送！TBNテレビ報道局の遊軍記者・布施京一は、独自の取材でスクープをモノにしている敏腕記者。与党の幹事長の不正献金疑惑と女優の交通事故死という2つの出来事に目をつけた布施は、事件の裏に潜む欲望や悪意を解き明かしていく。原作者の今野敏がベテラン報道局員役で出演している点も見どころ。2015年作品。 【ストーリー】 布施京一（上川隆也）はTBNテレビの報道局に所属する記者。布施は特定の担当を持たない遊軍記者で、そのポジションをフル活用し独自の取材で数々のスクープをモノにしている。ある日、布施は建設会社部長の自殺が与党幹事長・山野辺（小野武彦）の不正献金疑惑と関係しているという証拠を入手し、山野辺本人にぶつける。しかし他社が手にしていないスクープネタにもかかわらず、テレビに映りたくないという理由だけで布施はその証拠を東亜新聞の持田（庄司智春）に渡してしまう。そんな中、報道局に女優の沢野麗子（渋谷亜希）が交通事故を起こしたという情報が飛び込んできた。麗子は気性が荒く芸能マスコミを騒がせる女優で、榊という今は亡き映画監督と浮名を流したこともあった。そして、その熱愛をスッパ抜いたのは布施だった。布施が病院に到着するとすでに芸能記者たちが集まっていた。そこには島崎（相島一之）の姿も。島崎は麗子の母・楓（りりィ）を見つけると強行にコメントを求める。布施は楓をかばい病院内に避難させるが、手術の甲斐もなく麗子はそのまま亡くなった。突然娘を失い悲しみにくれる楓に布施はかける言葉もない。やがて平静を取り戻した楓は事故の直前に麗子から妙なメールが来たと告げて…。

In January 1946 a British military transport plane departs from Shanghai on its to Tokyo, Japan. During the flight the airplane makes an emergency landing on Sado Island. The residents on the island have heard stereotypes of the British soldiers and have mixed feelings about the their new "guest." Nevertheless, for the next 40 days the islanders take care of the crew members until the plane can take off once again. This includes Chiyoko Morimoto who is the daughter of the inn owner where some of the British crew members stay.

The truth of a sniper becomes clear in the turmoil of a drug robbery that shakes the underworld.
