真面目だけが取り柄の気弱な銀行員スタンリー。楽しみといえば往年のアニメを見ることくらいで、恋人もできずに冴えない日々を送っていた。そんなある夜、スタンリーは川で奇妙な仮面を見つける。自宅に持ち帰り顔に当ててみると、本人とは正反対のワイルドな男“マスク”に変身してしまう。風のように町へ飛び出した緑色の怪人“マスク”は、普段スタンリーを冷笑してきた人々に次々と仕返しをしていく。
