主にメーターとマックィーンの会話から成り立ち、メーターのホラ話がその内容となっているが、ラストでは架空であるはずの登場人物や出来事が発生し、本当なのか嘘なのかというオチがほとんどである。どのホラ話にも必ずマックィーンが出演しているほか、マックィーンのファンである双子のミアとティアもメーターのファンなどとして登場している。また、メーターのヘッドライトやボンネットが破損した理由もホラに吹き込まれている。
