The first work from Fernando Franco revolves around Ana, a 30 year old ambulance driver. Though good at her job, Ana has problems relating in her personal life. She doesn't know it, but she suffers from a condition known by psychiatrists as Borderline Personality Disorder. The situation pushes her to outbreaks of self-destructive behaviour, alcohol abuse and self-harm. Ana is incapable of getting what she wants most: to be happy.

Something has gone wrong with the landing gear of a plane en route from Madrid to Mexico City. The group of eccentric travelers on the flight, defenseless in the face of danger, indulge in colourful confessionals, while the outlandish crew attempts to find ways to entertain them.

Once he even convinced her to get rid of a turtle that was given to her as a birthday present. But now she has decided to get a puppy, partly as revenge for leaving her and partly to help her forget about him. She names him "Man" because he sees him as half "Manuel" but still twice the man he was. Time goes by and the dog grows up but she can't forget her ex-boyfriend, and she doesn't want the dog anymore. So she plans to give him away, as a Christmas present, to her brother. She leaves him in the car and has dinner with her family but when she comes back to get him, the car is gone and so is the dog. She feels very sad and tries to find Man. Until one day, Manuel shows up at her door with him. He tells Ana a story of how he bought the dog at the market they used to visit when they were together, and how ...

Tancredo, a poor man, is in love with a rich girl, who does not return his feelings. One day when she is bathing in a river, a flood sweeps her away and Tancredo is unable to save her. Mad with grief, he steals the sun. The gods call Apolinar to restore light to the earth, but he is obstructed by the magician of darkness, until by means of a telescope he is able to send a bag of light to Tancredo, now grown old. Tancredo goes to the seashore and opens the bag of light as an offering to his beloved, whereupon the sun returns to the earth.
