夜も更けたころ、パトロールに出た保安官ダニエルは、ひとけのない道に立つ血まみれの男を発見する。追跡して病院にたどり着くと、そこでは患者や病院関係者が怪物に変身しようとしていた。混乱の中、銃を持った男と斧を手にした青年が乱入して怪物を倒す。さらに巨大なナイフを持つ白装束のカルト集団が病院を取り囲む。敵と味方の区別もつかない状態に、ダニエルはとにかく生きている人々を連れて病院から脱出しようとするが……。
