Poland, 1945. Mathilde, a young French Red Cross doctor, is on a mission to help the war survivors. When a nun seeks for her help, she is brought to a convent where several pregnant sisters are hiding, unable to reconcile their faith with their pregnancy. Mathilde becomes their only hope.

"An eye for an eye, a tooth for a tooth" is the life motto of 30-year-old Agnieszka. After serving five years in prison, Agnieszka flees Poland for Germany in an attempt to start over. In Munich she meets the lonely 70-year-old Madame, boss of an escort agency. The woman provides her with a refuge and a job: Agnieszka begins to work as a dominatrix for Madame. She becomes like a daughter to her. All seems well until a much younger boy falls in love with Agnieszka. Madame will not stand any competition."

1993年、国際世論におされた米軍は民族紛争の続くソマリアへ派兵。内戦を終結させようと最大勢力ババルギディル族を率いて和平に反対するアイディード将軍の副官2名を捕らえるため、約100名の特殊部隊を首都モガディシュへ強襲させた。当初、作戦は1時間足らずで終了するはずだったが、作戦の開始直後にアイディード将軍派の民兵により2機のヘリコプターがロケットランチャーで撃墜されてしまう。 敵地の中心へ仲間たちの救出に向かう兵士らは泥沼の市街戦に突入していく。
