Pisan Akaraseranee (Nickname: Piak) was a Thai actor, director, producer and screenwriter. He's the father of actress Aom Phiyada. He's known as the "sadistic hero" or "sadistic director" because he often played or directed slap/kiss lakorns and movies. He died of a heart attack on December 4, 2018.

It follows the tragic life of a trans performer at a cabaret who falls in love with a handsome male singer who leaves her for a cisgender woman. Highlighting the difficulties of being trans in Thai society, the queer drama sparked a national discussion and spawned a 2006 remake.
