Tells the story of three bottom-dog boxers who gets used as punching bags. Pro boxer Suenaga Akira fell off the path to greatness but still tries to crawl his way to the top. Omura Ryuta is a youngster who grew up in foster care. Miyagi Shun, a TV celebrity with famous parents, takes a shot at boxing as part of a TV show. 北国の湿原を望むラブホテル「ホテルローヤル」経営者の一人娘・田中雅代は受験に失敗し、渋々実家の仕事を手伝うことになる。アダルトグッズ会社の営業・宮川聡史に思いを寄せながら、告白することなく淡々と仕事をこなす間にも、ホテルにはさまざまな境遇の男女が訪れる。ある日、ホテルの一室で心中事件が起こり、さらに父・大吉が病気で倒れてしまう。

Toko grew up unloved by her mother Mizuho who continues to adore her deceased son. She lives alone in an apartment the electricity has been cut off and the trash is piling up. One late night, Toko enters a gloomy building in order to escape from a threatening stalker, Tomita. There she finds a handgun. She brings it back home and confirms it is loaded with four bullets. One day, the family living next door who have already been enduring poverty and violence end up murdering a man. Toko helps them bury the man's body, shooting it with the handgun. Toko becomes captivated by the gun itself. She is further entangled in the true circumstances of the incident due to the detective searching for the handgun and a suspicious man Kazunari who knows a secret about the handgun. Toko tries to throw herself into the whirlpool but then the lid is blown off her "past."

Takako Kojima works as an announcer in Tokyo, Japan. She is tired of living in Tokyo and she doesn't see a bright future for herself. One day, she is assigned to cover a festival in Minamiosumi, Kagoshima Prefecture. Takako spent her childhood in the town of Minamiosumi and this will be her first time going there in many years. Takako reluctantly covers the festival, but she is changed by the people there.

目利きだが空振りばかりしている古物商・小池は、娘のいまりと大阪・堺に来る。小池はラジオの占いに導かれるように車を走らせ、ある屋敷に着く。そこで主らしき男性・野田は小池に蔵を見せ、小池は彼に渡された茶器を持って古美術商を訪ねるが、軽くあしらわれてしまう。翌日、小池は野田が留守番を任されただけで、自分が騙されたことを知る。小池は陶芸家の肩書きを持つ野田に、千利休の茶器を使って仕返ししようと持ち掛ける。

江ノ島カナコ（佐藤江梨子）が10年付き合っている同居中の恋人の村上ヒデオ（瑛太）は、ヒモのように暮らす売れない役者だ。ある日、勤め先を突然クビになったカナコは、ひょんなことからプロレス団体で働くことになる。プロレスの世界に魅了され仕事に打ち込むカナコが、浮気をしているのではないかと疑うヒデオは、嫉妬心からある事件を起こす。
