As next year's parliamentary elections approach, in which nationalist leader Martin Nordahl hopes for a landslide victory, Zakaria becomes involved in a radical organization, where he befriends Ali.

Rie is a PR-coordinator visiting a tunnel boring machine to portray the well-oiled European cooperation in the Metro construction when an accident suddenly occurs. Unable to escape, she takes refuge in an airlock with Croatian miner Ivo and Bharan, a worker from Eritrea.

Nationwide quietness. The streets are empty. Everyone’s glued to their screens at home, watching the final game. In the outskirts of Denmark, close to the German border, a small gas station needs to be open for service, even on this special night. Two young women have the shift. Ambitious Agnes is in the backroom putting finishing touches on her thesis, while free-spirited Belinda is on her phone, hoping to get the attention of her boyfriend. Simon moves from Copenhagen to Vesterby, where he meets Bjarke - the city's alpha male and heir to the local speaker empire. The two outsiders begin to challenge each other in cross-border actions, and the friendship grows. But when fraud forces the loudspeaker factory to go bankrupt, the city disintegrates, and Bjarke's family is blamed. Anger arouses the beast in Bjarke, and Simon must now choose whether to try to save his friend or withdraw from the course that Bjarke has set - towards his and Vesterby's downfall.
