伝説のヒットマン、ジミー(ブルース・ウィリス)が歯科医オズ(マシュー・ペリー)の隣に引っ越して、大騒動を巻き起こしてから4年―。ジミーは稼業を引退し、妻のジル(アマンダ・ピート)と幸せにメキシコに住んでいた。一方の歯科医オズも公私共に順調。しかし、かつてジミーに息子を殺されたマフィアのボス、ラズロ(ケヴィン・ポラック)が刑務所を出獄。ジミーへの復讐に動き始め、ジミーの前妻にして現在のオズの妻、シンシア(ナターシャ・ヘンストリッジ)を誘拐する。オズはジミーに助けを求めるが、ジミーは取り合わない。だが、この事件の裏には別の企みが隠されていて、思わぬ方向へ転がり始める!
