時は1872年、まだ飛行機も出現していない時代。イギリスはロンドンの社交クラブで、英国紳士フォッグ氏はひょんなことから“８０日間あれば世界一周できる”という賭けにのり、なんと２万ポンドという大金を賭け、自ら大冒険に出ることになる。さっそくフォッグ氏はパスパルトゥーを従者に従えロンドンを出発する。マルセイユへ向かう途中、汽車が止まってしまい気球を調達して先を急ぐ。ところが気球は風に流されてスペインへ。そして、パスパルトゥーはそこで、闘牛をするハメになってしまう。
