寡黙でとっつきにくい性格が災いし、周囲から筋金入りの頑固おじさんとして扱われ、息子とも溝ができてしまっているアーサー。そんな彼が愛してやまない、性格の明るい妻マリオンのガンが再発してしまう。そんな中、彼女が在籍するロックやポップスの名曲を歌う合唱団「年金ズ」が国際コンクールの選考大会に出場することに。治療などで練習に参加できないマリオンの代理で「年金ズ」のメンバーになるアーサーだが、個性豊かなメンバーや慣れない合唱に面食らってしまう。
