It can sometimes seem as though all sorts of machines will be able to solve all problems. But this notion is wrong. Once a polar explorer once again began his research. He never imagined that the elements of nature could be so powerful that no machine would be able to stop them.

The action takes place in a nameless country occupied by the German army at the time of World War II. In a small village there's an asylum. Officer Windisch must find the agent from 583 people and on his searches he is slowly starting to feel himself crazy too.

Vaike cannot “hold her horses” alone and counts for her sister Maret, who also in past have had helped her out from similar difficult situations. But this time also comes into play Maret’s fresh husband Ants, who is convinced that he no more mix up the twin sisters.
