カンザスのサーカス一座のしがない奇術師オズ。ある日彼は竜巻に巻き込まれ、不思議な魔法の国にたどり着く。そこでは邪悪な魔女の圧政に苦しむ領民たちが、いつか偉大な魔法使いのオズが現われると救世主の登場を待ち望んでいて、名前の偶然の一致から、到着したオズのことをすっかり当の救世主と思い込んでしまう。オズは美しい魔女の姉妹、エヴァノラとセオドラに言われるがまま、悪い魔女のグリンダを倒す旅に出かける。

After denying a woman the extension she needs to keep her home, loan officer Christine Brown sees her once-promising life take a startling turn for the worse.
