日菜太は劇団で脚本担当を任されている。劇団のリーダーで演出の一雅やヒロイン役の英莉(早見なな)仲間たちと次回の公演に向けて稽古に明け暮れている。日菜太と英莉は皆には内緒で男女の関係にある。そんなある日、一雅の家で芝居の稽古をしていると美しい母親まどか(白木優子)が劇団員に夕食を作るなど歓待してくれた。まどかは昔、女優を目指していたことがあり若者たちの夢を応援してくれているのだ。次回の芝居の恋愛シーンが上手く書けない日菜太は大人の女性まどかにアドバイスを貰おうと書きかけのシナリオを読んでもらうことに・・・。
