When the war in Ukraine breaks out, five women representing various generations and attitudes engage in a desperate fight to save themselves and their loved ones. Thrown together by life, they are protagonists in an uplifting story about life, courage, sacrifice and the power of human spirit.

As for the plot, a provincial school teacher who wishes to save her family from implosion and crushing debt persuades her husband and children to sign up for a state-run programme focusing on European integration, dubbed "Lessons of Tolerance". In accordance with this programme, they have to house an LGBT representative and activist in their home for a certain period of time. Now the family is forced to grapple with their own homophobia and their rejection of “otherness”.

Katya, a volunteer from Kyiv fighting against the invasion of Ukraine, uses a laptop donated to the resistance and comes into contact with the young son of the computer’s original owner, who is desperately in search of his missing parents. Her attempts to help the child will see her risk all she holds dear.

When reformed ex-smuggler Pamfir returns to home to his village on the Ukrainian border after working abroad for several years, he’s determined to earn an honest living and set a good example for his beloved teenage son Nazar. But in a town where corruption runs deep and crime and religion are inextricably linked, his plan is quickly thwarted when Nazar sets fire to the local church in a misguided effort to keep him at home. To pay for the damage, Pamfir must take on one last job for a crime syndicate operating a risky smuggling venture in a place where all the rules have changed.

The Ukrainian village is frightened. Baba Lena spreads rumors as if a local Vova with an ax in hand is going to a wedding in Galka to avenge the instructed horns. The local precinct officer decides to take matters into his own hands. But no one guesses what Vova really intended.

The eternal desire of a man to love a real and unique Woman paints different images in the imagination of screenwriter Ivan Gerasimov. From time to time he meets with the women of his dreams - a romantic young lady, a relaxed prostitute, a mysterious lady with a veil and - his wife - Ivan ceases to understand which of these women is reality, and which is only a figment of his imagination. In search of answers, he finds himself in the mystical station cafe Gendelyk. Thanks to the "accidental" meeting with Bartender and Sputnik, various emotional memories from life emerge in his memory: first love, funny oddities, moments of incredible happiness and unbearable suffering. These memories help Ivan understand himself and become free.

When Zhorik moves to Kyiv, he has high hopes to improve his life. But then he encounters the mundane struggles, bureaucracy, and corruption of Ukrainian reality.
