ピーター・バニングは40歳の企業付弁護士。妻モイラ、11歳のジャック、7歳のマギーという家族がいるが家族は仕事詰めなピーターに不満を感じている。行くと約束していた少年野球の応援もすっぽかし親子の絆はガタガタ。クリスマス休暇でバニング一家はモイラの祖母を訪ねロンドンに行く。一家はウェンディの邸宅でしばらく過ごしていたある夜、大人たちがパーティから帰ると子供たちの姿は消えドアにはジェームズ・フックからの脅迫文があった。何が起こったか見当もつかないピーターに、ウェンディが真実を告げる。ティンクが現れネバーランドに連れて行かれたピーターは子供たちを助けるために過去を思い出していく。
