とある高校で、校長室の金庫から全国共通試験の答案が盗まれる事件が発生。自称・敏腕ジャーナリストのボビーは、皆の憧れの的のフランチェスカから犯人を捜すよう依頼される。戦争帰りの元軍人であるジャレッド校長は容疑者の目星を不良グループにつけていたが、ボビーは生徒会長のポールが怪しいと睨み、一面記事にすっぱ抜く。ボビーは初めて皆から認められるが、ポールには無実を証明できる揺るぎない証拠があった…。
