Brenda Bennett is a singer and dancer, recruited by Prince to perform alongside Vanity and Susan Moonsie in his protégé side group Vanity 6. When Vanity left the project just before Prince's movie Purple Rain was to be filmed, Brenda and Susan remained with Vanity's replacement, Apollonia Kotero in the group Apollonia 6.
