Kanae's husband disappeared without a trace while on a union trip. Though usually headstrong and independent, the woman becomes plagued with worry over what happened to him, and is unable to move on with her life. Thus, Kanae decides to hire a private investigator, and keeps running the public bathhouse to the best of her abilities. As he tries to figure out the truth about her husband, Kanae must deal with the stress from a work-intensive job, meddlesome neighbors, and recurring nightmares in which she is drowning.

元風俗嬢の主人公・ちひろが、とある海辺の町の小さなお弁当屋さんで働きながら、心に傷や悩みを抱えて上手く生きることができない人々と交流し、彼女の言葉や行動がそれぞれの人々の生き方に影響を与えていく物語。

図書館で働く桃は、突然、フラれてしまった元カレ・健太朗のSNSを見て、今カノ・莉子の存在を知る。自分とは正反対のイマドキな洗練された莉子に興味を持ち、調べていくうちに、本人を特定。“ある理由”で、莉子に直接会いに行ってしまう…。今カノ・莉子と対峙した桃は言う。「リベンジポルノって知っていますか？」そして「彼が撮った二人の秘密の写真データを取り返したい…あと、あなたも撮られてないですか…」と。元カノと今カノ。出会うはずがないふたりが出会った今、“秘密の共犯”が始まろうとしている――。

女子高生の国木田陽(志田彩良)は、幼いころに母の佐千代(石田ひかり)が家を出て以来、父の直(井浦新)と二人で暮らしていた。しかし父の再婚によって平穏な日常は一変し、新しい母・美子(菊池亜希子)とその連れ子で4歳のひなたとの新たな暮らしが始まる。そんな家庭環境への戸惑いを、陽は自分と同じく家族に悩む同級生の清原陸(鈴鹿央士)に明かす。一方で実の母への思いを抑えられなくなった陽は、陸と共に画家である佐千代の個展を訪ねることにする。

本作の舞台は、そう遠くない未来。放浪生活を送っていた主人公リナは師となるエマと出会い、化粧品会社エターニティ社で“ボディワークス”という仕事に就く。それは最愛の存在を亡くした人々のために、遺体を生きていた姿のまま保存できるように施術（プラスティネーション）するもの。一方、エマの弟である天才科学者・天音はその技術を発展させ、姉と対立しながら「不老不死」の研究を進めていた。そして30歳になったリナは不老不死の処置を受け、永遠の命を得る。だが、やがて不老不死が当たり前となった世界は人類を二分化し、混乱と変化を生み出していくのだった。

28歳の会社員・テルコ(岸井ゆきの)は、マモル(成田凌)のことが好きになって以来、仕事や友人がどうでもよくなるほどマモル一筋の生活を送っていた。一方、マモルにとってテルコは、ただの都合のいい女でしかない。ある日、二人は急接近しテルコは有頂天になるが、突然マモルからの連絡が途絶えてしまう。

Kuroshi Mayama, age 14, lives alone with his mother Namiko. Though he was just under the age of one when he came to this town with his mom, he remembers everything from that day: Gettings on the bus in his mom's arms, an old woman who spoke some words to him, and the encounter with a poet... One night, with Kuroshi's birthday approaching, Father shows up unexpectedly. He insists that he and Kuroshi's mother had made an arrangement – that Kuroshi was to live with his mother until his 15th birthday and then live with his father. As Kuroshi's world gets turned upside down, his family, the people around him and even himself start to change.

The story involves an aloof thief, a young man who turns to God after his father’s suicide, a manipulative marriage councilor, a man who recently lost his job, and several others whose lives become intertwined in various unexpected ways.
